One week in paradise: yoga in Koh Phangan

Your search for paradise might be over, with this article about Koh Phangan in Thailand. The island offers the perfect setting to learn yoga in complete serenity.

What is Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice originating in India. It consists of postures or asanas, breathing techniques called pranayama, and meditation. Yoga is not only about getting better at the poses themselves but it’s about learning to control your body with ease and finding your inner peace.

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is a popular type of exercise that is practiced in many forms, which include power yoga, vinyasa, and hatha. It has a wide range of benefits for your body and mind. It can help with anxiety, depression, back pain, postpartum depression, high blood pressure, arthritis, eating disorders and more!

The benefits of Yoga in Koh Phangan

Yoga is one of the fastest-growing activities in the world. In Koh Phangan, as well as many other places around the world, yoga has become a key activity for people who want to make a positive change in their life. One of the benefits of yoga is that it tries to reconnect you with your body and your mind.

Why I chose to learn yoga in Thailand

I did my research and found that Thailand has the most yoga studios per capita in Asia, and it wasn’t difficult to find one. I chose Koh Phangan because of the secluded location and the laid back, beach vibe.

My experience at the Yoga Center

I had a fantastic time at the Yoga Center in Koh Phangan, Thailand. It was a good mix of activities and relaxation. The Yoga Center offers a variety of classes for all levels from beginners to those experienced in yoga. There were also daily lectures on diet, meditation, and self-development. I really enjoyed the food as well- they offered an excellent vegetarian buffet which changed every day. In addition to yoga classes, they offer massage sessions as well as Thai cooking classes where you can make your own dishes!

All in all, if you want a really beautiful experience on Koh Phangan I would recommend going to the north of the island. If you would prefer a more intense and thrilling experience, make your way south.
